PANAMA CITY, FL - (January 28, 2010) – The Panama City offices of Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC (CRI), the fourth largest accounting firm in the Southeast and one of the fastest growing firms in the nation, are partnering with Indulgence Salon & Spa and the Panama City Marine Institute (PCMI) to raise funds for disaster relief to benefit Haiti following the devastating earthquake.
The event will be held this Saturday, January 30th, at Indulgence Salon & Spa from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross to benefit Haiti. Several students from PCMI will volunteer at the event, and a donor from PCMI will match all monies raised.
“This partnership offers our community the opportunity to make a global difference while enjoying premier salon services and local camaraderie,” stated Mike Scott, Partner-in-Charge of the Panama City offices of CRI. “We hope the entire community shows their support of our efforts and joins us this Saturday afternoon.”
The services to be offered at the Cut-A-Thon include women’s haircuts—without a blow dry—for $15, and men and children’s haircuts for $10. Additionally, 15-minute chair massages will be available for $8. All services will be rendered on a first come, first serve basis.
Additionally, the following items will be collected for Shoes 2 Share International and Foundation T.H.E.R.E.:
· Shoes – All types are accepted. Please consider $1 to $2 per pair of shoes for shipping.
· Medical Supplies – Medical gloves, hand sanitizer, Band-Aids, first aid kits, alcohol swabs, antibiotic cream and Vaseline are requested.
· Infant Supplies – Suggested items include diapers, wipes, baby bottles, infant formula and powdered milk.
· Toiletries – Needs include bar soap, washcloths, toothpaste, toothbrushes, stick deodorant, hair combs, brushes, lip balm and tissues.
· Other items– Requests are blankets, sheets, new socks, new undergarments, bandanas, flashlights, batteries, Pedialyte, Gatorade, rice and beans, crackers, peanut butter, and work gloves.
